The latest Li Bai Hanging Temple slide series refrigerator magnets are now online.

The world-famous Hanging Temple is located on Cui Ping Peak on the west side of Hengshan Mountain. This famous temple, built during the Northern Wei Dynasty, has left behind the footprints of many literati and scholars. On the cliff outside the Hanging Temple, there are two characters meaning "magnificent," said to be written by the great Tang Dynasty poet Li Bai. However, observant people have noticed that the character for "magnificent" has an extra stroke. Why is that?

It is said that when Li Bai visited the Hanging Temple, he was astonished by the temple built into the cliff face. Inspired, he wrote the two characters "magnificent." However, feeling unsatisfied, he added an extra stroke to the character for "magnificent," implying that the Hanging Temple was even more magnificent than the word itself could express. Another explanation for the extra stroke is that Li Bai, after drinking Hun Yuan Shaojiao, became intoxicated and wrote the characters "magnificent." The next day, sober, he noticed the extra stroke but, being a great poet, decided not to correct it, telling those around him that the extra stroke was intentional, implying that the Hanging Temple was even more magnificent than the word itself could express.
