Hengshan Mountain Visitor Center
The Hengshan Mountain Tourist Center is located at the southeast corner of the intersection of Xuanwu Avenue and Hengzong Avenue in Hunyuan County, at the foot of Hengshan Mountain. It covers a total land area of 268,500 square meters and a total construction area of 23,600 square meters. It officially opened on September 28, 2024. Resembling a giant turtle resting amidst mountains and waters, beneath the Xuanwu Peak of Mount Heng, by the Hunyuan Xuanwu City, and beside the ancient city's Xuanwu Avenue, the Xuanwu-styled Hengshan Mountain Tourist Center has undoubtedly become a new urban landmark of Hunyuan, a historically and culturally renowned city. As the central service hub for the county's comprehensive tourism strategy, the Hengshan Mountain Tourist Center is a comprehensive tourism service center integrating ticketing, tourism transportation, smart tourism, cultural experiences, cultural displays, cultural and creative products, and conference services.
The main building of the Hengshan Mountain Tourist Center covers an area of 22,700 square meters and is divided into three floors:
First Floor: A tourism service hall primarily featuring ticket sales, tourism consultation, luggage storage, a smart center, cultural and creative displays, and commercial businesses, comprehensively meeting the basic needs of tourists.
Second Floor: An exhibition space blending culture and technology; an experience area for AI and VR technologies. It features five sections: Hunyuan's Extraordinary Journey, Hunyuan's Splendor, Hunyuan's Scenery, Hunyuan's Exploration, and the Digital Hanging Temple Experience Hall.
Lower Ground Floor: A transportation transfer center. The transfer hall covers an area of 1,424 square meters. After purchasing or exchanging tickets on the first floor, tourists can take shuttle buses to the Hanging Temple, Hengshan Mountain, Hunyuan Ancient City, and other scenic areas. 58 shuttle buses operate continuously in a loop. The vehicles are equipped with comfortable seats and advanced multimedia equipment, allowing tourists to enjoy the scenery along the way while learning about the scenic areas.
Parking Lot: Five smart parking areas (A, B, C, D, and E) are located outside the main building, with a total of 3,641 parking spaces. Areas A, B, and C are for private cars; Area D is for buses and shuttle buses; and Area E is for electric vehicle charging stations. The internal roads of the parking lot span 11 kilometers. Five exits connect to Xuanwu Avenue on the north side, while three entrances and one shuttle bus exit connect to Hengzong Avenue on the south side, ensuring convenient and quick transportation.
Supporting Facilities: The tourist center building is equipped with 16 elevators, including 8 passenger elevators, 2 freight elevators, and 6 escalators, as well as 10 staircases. The landscaping project covers 165,900 square meters, with 12,200 square meters of green space. Supporting projects include landscaping, lighting, and irrigation systems.
