On March 26th, a comprehensive earthquake relief drill for 2025, organized by the Hengshan Mountain Scenic Area Management Center, was held in the Yuemen Bay Scenic Area. The drill simulated a real earthquake scenario to test the scientific nature of the emergency plan and strengthen the collaborative combat capabilities of multiple departments.
Personnel from the Hengshan Mountain Scenic Area Management Center, the county emergency management bureau, the fire rescue team, and the county medical group participated in the drill.
At 9:30 am, the drill officially started. Simulating a magnitude 7.0 earthquake, the scenic area immediately initiated a level one response, and various working groups quickly arrived. According to the drill arrangement, it simulated multiple tourists trapped in the scenic area, with one person suffering a leg injury. The command center immediately issued instructions: the fire rescue team and the scenic area emergency team rushed to the lower station of the cable car to carry out rescue operations, and the medical rescue team simultaneously began treating the injured.
During the drill, the earthquake relief command center strictly followed the entire process of "disaster assessment-personnel search and rescue-medical rescue-mass resettlement"; the rescue team used life detectors, demolition tools, and other professional equipment to conduct rescue operations in the ruins; the medical team established a temporary treatment point to perform on-site bandaging, cardiopulmonary resuscitation, and other emergency measures; the logistics support group quickly set up an emergency shelter to relocate and accommodate affected tourists. At the same time, the command center dynamically adjusted the rescue strategy through real-time transmission of disaster area images via drones, ensuring that rescue operations were efficient and orderly.
After the drill, the person in charge of the Hengshan Mountain Scenic Area Management Center gave a summary and evaluation. The Hengshan Mountain Scenic Area will use this drill as an opportunity to further revise its emergency plan and establish a closed-loop management mechanism of "hidden danger investigation-material reserves-training and drills." At the same time, it plans to conduct earthquake prevention and disaster reduction training for all staff before the peak tourist season, add emergency signage systems in the scenic area, and effectively build a safety line to provide solid support for creating a North Mount Tai international tourist destination.
