The golden snake bids farewell to the old year, while the swift horse gallops forward—cultural and tourism sectors join hands to embark on a new journey! The 2026 Cultural and Tourism System Spring Gala shines brilliantly.

As galloping horses herald the arrival of spring, culture and tourism join forces to embark on a new journey. On the afternoon of February 12, the Hunyuan County cultural and tourism system held its Spring Festival Gala—“Full Steam Ahead on a New Journey”—in a joyous and harmonious atmosphere. All cadres and staff members from the entire system gathered in the multi-functional hall of the Hengguan Center, using the "horse" as a medium and "art" as a bridge to celebrate the Spring Festival together, discuss the development of culture and tourism, and, with the vigorous spirit of countless galloping horses, kick off a brand-new journey toward high-quality development of Hunyuan’s cultural and tourism sector.

The gala kicked off with a thrilling performance of "The Rhythms of Hengyue Drums." The performers struck the war drums with tremendous force, their resounding beats echoing like the thunderous gallop of ten thousand horses. This not only heralded the joyous prelude to the Lunar New Year of the Horse but also sounded a powerful call for cultural and tourism professionals to "unleash their full potential," instantly igniting enthusiasm throughout the venue.

Amid the lingering echoes of drumbeats, Xu Yanlong, Director of the County Bureau of Culture and Tourism, took to the stage to deliver a speech. His words were filled with both recognition and gratitude for the hard work and dedication of all cultural and tourism professionals over the past year, and also conveyed firm confidence and earnest hopes for the future development of Hunyuan’s cultural and tourism sector. Following him, Hu Peng, Deputy County Governor, delivered a speech in which he comprehensively summarized the achievements made in cultural and tourism work in 2025, encouraging all cultural and tourism professionals to pursue their dreams with vigor and seize the momentum. As they embark on the journey toward creating a 5A-level scenic area, he urged them to stay firmly focused on their goals and forge ahead with courage and determination, injecting a powerful spirit of striving and perseverance into every cultural and tourism professional.

Following the leader’s address, the conference held a ceremony to recognize outstanding workers of the Hengshan Mountain scenic area for the year 2025. A group of “thousand-mile horses”—employees who have distinguished themselves in positions such as Party building and administration, scenic-area services, safety assurance, and cultural relic protection—took to the stage one after another to receive their awards. Like swift steeds galloping on their respective tracks, they embody responsibility through practical actions and write glory with their dedication. Members of the leadership team of the Hengshan Management Center took to the stage to present awards to these outstanding workers. Amidst thunderous applause, this recognition not only affirms the silent dedication of the “old yellow oxen” but also serves as an inspiring call to all cultural and tourism professionals: "Without being urged, we’ll spur ourselves on and keep forging ahead." It encourages everyone to carry forward the spirit of the dragon horse in the new year, stepping up our pace and moving forward with courage and determination, thus contributing even more vigorously to the creation of a 5A-level scenic area.

Following the awards ceremony, the cultural and artistic performance officially kicked off. The entire evening was brimming with “horse” themes and featured a dazzling array of精彩 performances. The erhu solo "Horse Racing" was truly the highlight of the show—its performer’s nimble fingers danced across the strings, evoking the crisp sound of hooves, vividly bringing to life the majestic spectacle of countless horses galloping across the grasslands. The song "War Horse" soared high and clear, capturing the bold spirit of cultural and tourism professionals as they charge forward, overcoming obstacles and tackling challenges head-on. The dance "White Horse" exuded heroic grace; the dancers moved with the agility and elegance of thoroughbreds, fully showcasing the beauty of strength and power. The Jin Opera "Yang Guang's Usurpation" was rich in traditional charm, while the guzheng piece "Sounds from the Cloud Palace" possessed an ethereal and distant allure, breathing new life into our time-honored cultural heritage.

The three-line skit “Creating 5A” uses humorous language to tell the story of the creation process, vividly conveying the determination of all cultural and tourism professionals to take the lead in this endeavor. The short scene play “Reporting to the 5A Scenic Area” brings to life the dedication and sense of responsibility of sanitation workers and security guards through lively performances. The fast-paced clapper talk piece “Praising Liangfen” has a brisk rhythm that echoes the rhythmic sound of horse hooves, making the local culinary culture come alive with flavor and charm. The skits “Cultural and Tourism News Broadcast” and “You Have It, So Do I” are packed with witty jokes and punchlines, delivering the wisdom and humor of cultural and tourism professionals amid bursts of laughter.

The dances “Sending to the Bright Moon” and “Small Poetic Verses” are either delicately graceful or refreshingly lively; solo performances such as “Peach Blossoms Red, Apricot Flowers White,” “Today,” and “Sailor” each boast their own unique charm, singing out the artists’ deep love for their motherland and their yearning for a better life. The shadow-play dance “The Brightest Star in the Night Sky” uses light and shadow as its brush, painting the romantic sentiments of cultural and tourism professionals. The dance medley “Labor Model Team,” presented by the tour guides, brought the atmosphere of the venue to a thrilling climax, showcasing the extraordinary flair of frontline service staff. The closing duet, “Chinese Family Portrait,” was warm and harmonious, bringing the entire gala to a perfect close.

The golden snake bids farewell to the old year, leaving behind a spirit of grandeur; the swift horse ushers in the new spring, unfolding a vision of great ambition. 2026 is the Year of the Horse according to the lunar calendar—and it’s also the crucial year for Hengshan Mountain Scenic Area as it strives to become a national 5A-level tourist attraction. Standing at this new starting point, all cultural and tourism professionals will adopt a fighting spirit of “full horsepower” and display an awe-inspiring momentum of “thousands of horses galloping forward.” We will keep Governor Hu’s instruction—“regard achieving 5A status as our top political task”—firmly in mind, implement the “Five Hearts, Five Places” development strategy, step up our efforts with speed and pragmatism, take the lead in pursuing 5A certification, continuously enhance service quality, and set the stage for a new chapter of high-quality development in Hengshan’s cultural and tourism sector!
