Dear Visitors:
With the May Day holiday approaching, all renovation work at the Hengshan Mountain scenic area has been completed, and the area will reopen to the public as usual starting May 1. To ensure a safe, orderly, and comfortable visiting experience for everyone, the scenic area will fully implement the requirements of “visitor limits, reservations, and staggered peak hours.” The following friendly reminders are hereby provided:
I. Real-name Reservation and Staggered Travel
1. Ticket reservation: During the May Day holiday, make real-name reservations by time slot through the WeChat official accounts of “Hengshan Scenic Area” and “Hengshan Mountain Scenic Area,” or via the official platforms of Ctrip, Tongcheng, Meituan, and Douyin.
2. Admission Procedure: Upon successful reservation, no ticket exchange is required; simply present your ID card for entry.
3. Special Note: Tickets for ascending the Hanging Temple are in high demand. Online reservations are available daily from 7:20 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. for visits within the next seven days, while limited quantities of same-day tickets are sold on-site at 6:30 a.m. and 12:00 p.m., with a purchase limit of six tickets per order. Please do not place duplicate orders.
4. Peak-avoidance recommendations: Peak visitor traffic is expected from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. between May 1 and May 3. Visitors are advised to enter the park before 8:00 a.m. or after 2:00 p.m., or to stagger their visits to Huyuan Ancient Town and nearby attractions.
II. Safe Sightseeing, Accompanied by Civility
1. Safe Travel: Hengshan Mountain is a mountainous scenic area with changeable weather and a large temperature difference between day and night. The temperature at the summit is 5–8°C lower than at the foot of the mountain. Please keep an eye on the weather forecast and prepare windproof and warm clothing, shoes, hats, etc. in advance; do not enter unopen areas, do not climb cliffs and steep slopes, and stay away from dangerous rock sections; elderly people and children must be accompanied at all times.
2. Fire Prevention and No Smoking: Smoking is strictly prohibited throughout the entire scenic area. Bringing open flames or flammable and explosive materials is strictly forbidden, as is the use of fire in the wild. Let us work together to safeguard ecological safety.
3. Civilized Visiting: Please respect cultural relics, historical sites, and public facilities; refrain from carving, graffiti, or picking plants and flowers. Pets are not allowed in the park; visitors bringing pets must deposit them at the Pet Deposit Station at the Visitor Center.
4. Property Security: During the holiday, visitor numbers are high, so please keep your personal belongings secure to prevent loss or theft; if driving your own vehicle, park only in the designated parking areas at the Visitor Center and do not block emergency access lanes.
III. Convenient and Well-Organized Transportation
1. By car: Navigate to the Hengshan Mountain Tourist Center. The roads around the scenic area tend to be congested, so it is recommended to travel during off-peak hours, comply with traffic regulations, and drive at a reduced speed.
2. Shuttle Transfer: All visitors must take the shuttle bus at the Visitor Center to enter the Hengshan Mountain Scenic Area, and there is no self-driving access within the scenic area.
IV. Friendly Reminders and Thoughtful Services
1. Official Channels: Please purchase tickets through official platforms, be wary of “unreasonably low-priced tours” and fraudulent ticketing schemes, and guard against scams.
2. Preferential Policies: Active-duty military personnel, veterans, persons with disabilities, seniors aged 60 and above, and children under 1.2 meters in height are eligible for free admission or a 50% discount upon presentation of valid identification; such benefits must be verified and processed at the Visitor Center counter.
3. Inquiry and Assistance: Scenic Area Information Hotline: 0352-8333077. If you encounter any difficulties during your visit, please feel free to contact our staff or visit the Visitor Center service desk for assistance.
4. Crowd Alert: When visitor numbers approach the maximum capacity, the scenic area will issue alerts via its official WeChat account and public address system. Please follow staff instructions and adjust your itinerary as needed.
