CCTV Report Receives Feedback | Hunyuan, Shanxi Responds to Chaos at the Hanging Temple Scenic Area: Intensifying Crackdown on Violations


On May 4, the National Radio and Television Administration reported on Hunyuan County in Shanxi Province. In response to the report by the CCTV News Center, On May 5, local authorities stated that they would intensify enforcement against violations to enhance the tourism experience for visitors.

In response to the online practice of reselling tickets for Hengshan Mountain at inflated prices, Hengshan Culture and Tourism Company, as the management authority of the Hanging Temple Scenic Area, will further strengthen its coordination with public security organs and specialized technical departments, continuously improve and optimize the ticketing system, and monitor abnormal ticket-purchasing activities. According to statistics from Hengshan Culture and Tourism Company, during the May Day holiday, as of the 4th, more than 240 violating accounts have been blocked. Going forward, the company will also communicate with relevant authorities and online platforms to block posts promoting illegal ticket purchases and deploy personnel to conduct online patrols.

In response to the situation of people checking in and taking photos in dangerous areas, the relevant departments of Hunyuan County will increase on-site patrols at the entrance of the Hengshan Mountain Tunnel and install additional cameras. They will also use voice prompts and other methods to promptly stop illegal parking and climbing over guardrails for check-ins and photos, thereby ensuring public safety.

Meanwhile, the public security organs of Hunyuan County have intensified on-site patrols, streamlined communication channels with various complaint platforms, and promptly cracked down on violations such as illegal ticket purchasing and unauthorized taxi operators soliciting passengers. During the May Day holiday, as of April 4, three cases of illegal ticket代buying were investigated and handled, five individuals were given administrative penalties, and three unauthorized taxi operators were apprehended at the scene. Going forward, the public security authorities will continue to closely monitor and strictly address violations that disrupt ticketing order at scenic areas and engage in illegal passenger solicitation, adhering to stringent supervision and control measures and taking immediate enforcement action against any detected misconduct.
