To our valued tourists:

In accordance with the unified deployment of the Datong Municipal Committee of Culture and Tourism Industry High-Quality Development Leading Group Office, starting from August 24, 2024, the Hengshan Mountain Scenic Area will cancel the reservation system for all attractions except for the Hanging Temple, which will retain its reservation system. The relevant matters are announced as follows:

I. Hengshan Mountain, Hanging Temple entry, Yong'an Temple, and Lishi Jiacheng Cancel Reservation System

1. Tourists can purchase tickets on-site or online, provided that the number of visitors does not exceed the maximum carrying capacity.

2. Online tickets can be purchased within 7 days (including the day of the visit). Please purchase tickets through the Hengshan Mountain Scenic Area official WeChat account from 7:00 AM to 11:30 PM daily.

3. Free admission for visitors aged 60 and above with valid ID cards.

II. Hanging Temple Entry Still Retains the Reservation System

1. Online reservation. Reservations are required within 2 days (including the day of the visit). Please make reservations through the Hengshan Mountain Scenic Area official WeChat account from 7:30 AM to 11:30 PM daily.

2. Special group reservations. Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan compatriots, foreigners, and students over 18 years of age cannot make reservations through the scenic area's official WeChat account. The scenic area will reserve 300 entry tickets for these special groups. Please visit the special group window of the Hanging Temple scenic area for reservations and ticket purchases on a first-come, first-served basis, until sold out.

3. Flexible ticket distribution at the window. Due to the characteristics of the Hanging Temple, where only one person can pass through at a time, the daily reception capacity will be reduced when there are many slow-moving tourists; when tourists move faster, the daily reception capacity will increase. Therefore, the Hanging Temple will flexibly allocate tickets through offline windows, appropriately increasing the number of entry tickets released. The time and quantity of tickets released at the window will be determined based on the daily passenger flow and queue situation, and cannot be announced in advance. Your understanding is appreciated.
