“Everyone Talks Safety, Everyone Knows How to Respond to Emergencies” — The 2026 Safety Awareness and Consultation Day event of the Hengshan Mountain Scenic Area Management Center was successfully held at the Hanging Temple scenic spot.


To thoroughly implement the work arrangements outlined in the notice issued by the State Council Safety Commission Office and the provincial and municipal safety commission offices on launching the 2026 “Safety Production Month” activities, and to closely align with the core tasks of developing Hengshan Mountain into a 5A-level scenic area, on June 18, the 2026 “Safety Publicity and Consultation Day” themed event, jointly hosted by the Hunyuan County Safety Committee, the Hengshan Scenic Area Management Center, and the County Emergency Management Bureau, was held at... This event is themed “Everyone Talks Safety, Everyone Knows How to Respond to Emergencies—Identifying and Rectifying Risks and Hazards,” bringing together multiple departments in coordinated collaboration to pool efforts for comprehensive safety protection. More than twenty enterprises and institutions, including the Hengshan Mountain Scenic Area Management Center, the County Federation of Trade Unions, the Red Cross Society, the Science and Technology Association, the Emergency Management Bureau, the Public Security Bureau, the Natural Resources Bureau, the Market Supervision Administration, the Water Resources Bureau, the Transportation Bureau, the Housing and Urban–Rural Development Bureau, the Energy Bureau, the Culture and Tourism Bureau, the Forestry Bureau, the Health and Sports Bureau, the Meteorological Bureau, the Hunyuan Branch of the Municipal Ecology and Environment Bureau, the Agriculture and Rural Affairs Bureau, the Fire and Rescue Detachment, and the Traffic Police Detachment, gathered on site to jointly carry out a series of activities, such as safety awareness campaigns, equipment demonstrations, and on-site consultations.

The event was packed with exciting activities, ensuring that safety knowledge truly sank in and stayed with everyone.

The event officially kicked off in a solemn and orderly atmosphere.

At the outset of the event, Zhao Xiang, a member of the County Party Committee Standing Committee, Executive Deputy County Mayor, and Deputy Director of the County Safety Production Committee, took to the podium to deliver a speech. He outlined plans for risk prevention and control in key areas, including the county’s overall safety production situation, fire safety at the Hengshan Mountain scenic area, geological disaster mitigation, visitor flow management and guidance, and the operation and maintenance of special equipment. He emphasized that, during the process of upgrading Hengshan Mountain to a 5A-level tourist attraction, the safety bottom line must never be crossed, and all units must firmly shoulder and implement their safety production responsibilities while routinely advancing hazard identification and remediation efforts. All staff members and local businesses are urged to maintain a constant vigilance regarding safety, while visitors are encouraged to observe civilized, standardized, and orderly practices during their visits. Multiple departments will conduct comprehensive, grid‑style safety inspections across the entire site and organize specialized emergency response drills, thereby establishing a robust, all‑round safeguard for cultural and tourism safety.

Following the address, county leaders, heads of participating organizations, and staff members proceeded one by one to the signature wall, solemnly affixing their names to a pledge of safety, thereby translating their commitment into action and further reinforcing a strong sense of prioritizing safety above all else.

The consultation service area was bustling with visitors. County leaders and staff from various departments took turns manning the information booths, engaging directly with tourists and local residents to explain safety laws and regulations, as well as essential safety guidelines covering areas such as scenic‑area visits, gas and electrical safety, road traffic, geological disaster prevention and flood control, and forest fire prevention. They also distributed safety brochures and educational materials, patiently addressing the public’s concerns about a wide range of safety issues, bringing vital safety services right to people’s doorsteps.

This Safety Publicity and Consultation Day event is closely aligned with the critical phase of establishing Hengshan Mountain as a 5A scenic area, clearly defining three major work objectives:

First, widely disseminate laws and regulations on workplace safety as well as emergency preparedness and evacuation knowledge, and continuously strengthen all employees and visitors’ awareness of safety red lines.

Second, focus on high-risk areas such as scenic‑area fire safety, geological hazards, visitor flow management, and amusement‑park special‑equipment safety, comprehensively enhancing the practical capabilities of all stakeholders in identifying hidden dangers and addressing risks.

Third, we will build a bridge for secure communication among government, enterprises, and the public, broaden channels for safety-related consultation and feedback, and foster a strong societal culture in which “everyone prioritizes safety and everyone knows how to respond to emergencies.”

Throughout the event, all participants conscientiously observed venue etiquette and actively maintained environmental cleanliness. Following the conclusion of the publicity and consultation sessions, everyone departed in an orderly manner as directed, bringing this Safety Publicity and Consultation Day to a successful close.

Going forward, the Hengshan Mountain Scenic Area Management Center will take this series of activities for Safety Production Month as an opportunity to continuously strengthen and refine routine safety publicity, hazard identification, and emergency drills within the scenic area. With solid and reliable safety measures in place, it will steadily advance efforts to develop Hengshan Mountain into a 5A-level scenic area, ensuring the safety of visitors’ travel and sightseeing.
