Climbing the Eastern Mountain Taishan, Southern Mountain Hengshan, Western Mountain Huashan, Hengshan Mountain, and Central Mountain Songshan is one of the goals for many people in tourism, fitness, and cultural enrichment. The "Travel the Five Great Mountains, Understand China" 2025 Chinese "Five Great Mountains" historical and cultural tour event jointly launched by the "Five Great Mountains" scenic areas has attracted a large number of "travel enthusiasts" to participate.
The latest statistics show that this summer season, the total number of registrations for climbing the "Five Great Mountains" has exceeded 30,000. Through the event's verification check-in app, the organizers confirmed that from July 10 to August 25, 4,495 "travel enthusiasts" completed hiking climbs of the "Five Great Mountains." Thanks to outstanding personal physical strength, endurance, perseverance, and a well-developed transportation system, many "mountain climbing experts" achieved "climbing the Five Great Mountains in five days." Mr. Zhao, who ranks first on the "Total Hiking Climb of the Five Great Mountains" leaderboard by a large margin, completed the climbs in a total time of 6 hours, 10 minutes, and 10 seconds.
It is understood that the top four contestants on the "Total Hiking Climb of the Five Great Mountains" leaderboard all achieved "climbing the Five Great Mountains in five days." As more people participate in the challenge, many tutorials and strategies have emerged in the "Five Great Mountains Check-in Circle": alternating "climbing, rushing, resting" is the basic strategy; "night climbing" and "morning climbing" can save time; following the principles of "easy first, then difficult" and "near first, then far," the recommended route is "Hengshan Mountain - Taishan - Songshan - Huashan - Hengshan," and the best transportation between scenic spots is by train or self-driving...
Yin Junzhang, a staff member of the organizers of the "Five Great Mountains" historical and cultural tour event, introduced that among the "travel enthusiasts" who hiked to the top of the "Five Great Mountains," the majority are young people, with the top five on the total score leaderboard all being "post-90s" and "post-00s." The "Five Great Mountains Alliance," a cooperative organization of the Taishan, Hengshan, Huashan, Hengshan Mountain, and Songshan scenic areas with a history of 40 years, has been holding the "Travel the Five Great Mountains, Understand China" summer cultural tourism event annually since 2023, calling on strong and healthy "travel enthusiasts" to climb the "Five Great Mountains" within a certain period and challenge themselves.
