Travel Guide

I. Transportation Routes

1. Since the original parking lot at Xuan Kong Temple has fewer than 300 spaces, to ensure the safety and smooth journey of visitors, all vehicles driven by tourists are directed to park free of charge at Hengshan Mountain Visitor Center Parking Lot No. 1 and Liuhe Parking Lot No. 2. Free parking , then took the shuttle bus to enter and explore the scenic area.

2. Tour buses provide direct access to the Hanging Temple Scenic Area parking lot. After dropping off passengers at the entrance of Hengshan Mountain Temple Complex near Yuemowan, the tour buses head south for about 800 meters before entering Parking Lot No. 3 at Xiapanpu. Free parking 。

II. Opening Hours

1. Hengshan Mountain: 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM

2. Cable Car: 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM

3. Hsuan-Kung Temple: 7:00 AM – 6:00 PM

4. Yong'an Temple, Yuánjué Temple, Confucius Temple, and Lì Family Cemetery: 7:00 AM – 6:00 PM

3. Shuttle Bus Ride

1. Operating Hours

Departing for Hengshan Mountain: 6:30 AM – 4:30 PM

Departing for Xuan Kong Temple: 6:30 AM – 5:30 PM

2. The ticket price is 20 yuan per person, allowing free round-trip travel on the same day between the Visitor Center, Liuhé, Xuan Kong Temple, Yuemeng Bay, and Hengzong.

3. The visitor center ticket window provides paper tickets, while the Liuhe ticket window offers wristbands as your valid凭证 for全程 travel—please keep them safely. For convenience and speed, we recommend booking and purchasing electronic tickets online in advance.

Ticketing Information

I. Ticket Prices

Hengshan Mountain: Full price 45 yuan/person, Half price 23 yuan/person

Entrance to the Hanging Temple: Full price 15 yuan per person, half price 8 yuan per person

Climbing the Hanging Temple: Full price 100 yuan per person, half price 50 yuan per person

Yong'an Temple: Full price 20 yuan per person, half price 10 yuan per person

Yuánjué Temple: Full price 20 yuan per person, half price 10 yuan per person

Yong'an Temple + Yuangjue Temple: Combined ticket 30 yuan per person

Confucius Temple and Li Family Noble Cemetery: Free

II. Ticket Purchase Methods

You can purchase tickets online by following the official WeChat account "Hengshan Mountain Scenic Area" or by searching for the mini-program "Beiyue Yunyou" on WeChat. Ticket sales run from 7:20 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. for the Hanging Temple admission tickets, and from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. for all other attractions—both allow reservations for tickets valid within the next 7 days.

The offline ticket windows are located at the Hengshan Mountain Visitor Center. Ticket sales run from 6:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at Hengshan Mountain, and from 6:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. at the Hanging Temple. Tickets for ascending the Hanging Temple go on sale daily at 6:30 a.m. and again at 12:00 noon.

The Hanging Temple scenic area has added a temporary ticket booth to sell admission tickets as well as afternoon-time tickets for climbing the Hanging Temple. Meanwhile, Yuemen Bay has set up a temporary ticket counter to distribute tickets for the Hengshan Mountain scenic area.

III. Ticket Purchase Tips for Visiting Xuan Kong Temple

1. To visit and explore the Hanging Temple, you must purchase an admission ticket at the same time.

2. Seniors aged 60 and above are requested to book a "free ticket" online for admission and visitation.

IV. Eligible Groups and Ticket Purchase Methods

Persons with disabilities, active-duty military personnel (including family members of service members), families of martyrs, families of military personnel who died in the line of duty, families of military personnel who passed away due to illness, retired military cadres, retired non-commissioned officers, as well as full-time undergraduate and lower-level students aged 18 or older, may purchase tickets at the ticket counter by presenting their own ID cards and relevant valid documents.

1. Visitors purchasing tickets online are advised to plan their itinerary accordingly and enter the park strictly according to their reserved ticket time slot.

II. During the National Day holiday,景区 experiences high visitor volumes, resulting in longer wait times for transportation and queues. When the number of visitors inside the park approaches the capacity limit at any given moment, we will implement flow-control measures. Should these measures inadvertently affect your overall travel experience, we kindly ask for your understanding. During peak periods or in cases of traffic congestion, we sincerely request your cooperation with staff guidance—please remain courteous and considerate at all times.

3. Weather conditions in mountainous scenic areas can be unpredictable, so please stay closely informed about weather changes and any other special circumstances that may arise.

4. Please do not bring pets into the scenic area.

5. Smoking and open flames are strictly prohibited within the scenic area.
