Notice of Temporary Closure of Hengshan Mountain and Xuan Kong Temple


Dear Visitors:

In order to comprehensively eliminate safety hazards on the mountain, strengthen cultural relic protection, ensure the safety of tourists, and improve the quality of infrastructure services in the scenic area, Hengshan Mountain and the Hanging Temple will carry out projects to address dangerous rocks and upgrade infrastructure. After careful consideration, it has been decided to temporarily close the scenic area. The relevant matters are hereby announced as follows:

 

I. Park Closure Information  

1. Scope of park closure: Hengshan Mountain Scenic Area 1. Hengkong Temple Scenic Area

2. Park Closure Period: March 25, 2026 – April 2, 2026

 

II. Relevant Notes  

During the park closure, all visitor services—including tour operations, ticket reservations, and on-site admissions—will be suspended. Visitors who have already planned trips are advised to adjust their travel arrangements accordingly and manage their itineraries appropriately. For those who have booked tickets for the park on the 25th and 26th, you may enter at an earlier or later date; your tickets will remain valid, or you may request a refund through the original booking channel.

 

III. Sightseeing Recommendations  

To enhance your visit, during the park’s closure you may head to Hunyuan Ancient City Visit and explore the surrounding cultural heritage sites, including nationally protected key monuments such as Yong’an Temple and Yuanjue Temple, to experience the historical depth and exquisite architectural artistry of this ancient city, while carefully planning your itinerary.
