On November 18, the China "Three Mountains and Five Great Mountains" Exchange Symposium was held at Yandang Mountain in Wenzhou, Zhejiang. Representatives from the Hengshan Mountain Scenic Area, along with counterparts from Huangshan, Lushan, Yandang Mountain, Mount Tai, Huashan, Hengshan, and Songshan—collectively known as the "Three Mountains and Five Great Mountains"—gathered to discuss their shared ecological heritage, explore collaborative strategies, and jointly chart a new chapter for the sustainable development of mountain tourism.
The symposium was held under the theme "Carrying Forward the Past, Embracing Innovation, Walking Together, and Painting the Future." Representatives from eight renowned mountains engaged in in-depth discussions on topics such as scenic area development and cultural-tourism innovation, sharing their insightful explorations and best practices in areas like scenic management, cultural-tourism event planning, innovative initiatives, and the preservation and revitalization of intangible cultural heritage. At the event, Deng Jing, Director of the Party and Government Office of the Hengshan Mountain Scenic Area Management Center, delivered a keynote speech. She systematically highlighted Hengshan Mountain's unique resource endowments and rich cultural heritage, discussed efforts to enhance the mountain's prestigious brand image and influence, outlined advancements in infrastructure development and tourism service upgrades, emphasized the integration of culture and tourism alongside cultural outreach, and highlighted sustainable ecological conservation and the rollout of smart tourism initiatives. Additionally, she provided an overview of the scenic area's remarkable growth trajectory and its significant achievements across multiple fronts in recent years—achievements that were warmly praised by all attendees.
The meeting also focused on the deep integration and innovative transformation of the cultural and tourism industries, jointly exploring and promoting collaborative initiatives such as the joint implementation of preferential policies for "Three Mountains and Five Peaks," as well as jointly organizing tourism promotion events—along with other potential avenues for cooperation.
At the conference, the Alliance solemnly released the "Three Mountains and Five Peaks Alliance Declaration," clearly outlining "ecological priority, open collaboration, and co-creation with shared benefits" as its core principles. These principles will drive cooperation and innovation in areas such as ecological conservation, cultural heritage, and tourism development, fostering mutual exchange of visitors among the renowned mountains, joint brand-building, and collaborative route promotion—ultimately helping to create a community of shared destiny for the sustainable development of these iconic peaks.

During the meeting, the delegates also conducted an on-site inspection of Yandang Mountain. Square Cave: Gathering Light in the Clouds — The Lingfeng Night View, Lingyan Flying Across, and other cultural-tourism integration demonstration projects allow visitors to experience Yandang Mountain’s innovative practices and remarkable achievements in blending culture with tourism. Together, we also officially launch the 2025 Maritime Silk Road Cities Cooperation and Development Conference & International Travel Trade Fair.
