On the afternoon of December 25, the Party Committee of the Hengshan Mountain Scenic Area held a special meeting to convey and study the spirit of the 11th Plenary Session of the 16th Committee of the Hunyuan County CPC Committee and to discuss and deploy current key tasks.

Cao Qilong, Party Secretary and Director of the scenic area, chaired the meeting and delivered a speech. Heads of various departments and secretaries of all party branches attended the meeting.

The meeting pointed out that the 11th Plenary Session of the 16th County Party Committee was held at a critical juncture when the entire county was deeply implementing the spirit of the 4th Plenary Session of the 20th CPC Central Committee, the 11th Plenary Session of the 12th Provincial Party Committee, and the 10th Plenary Session of the 16th Municipal Party Committee, striving to ensure a successful conclusion of the 14th Five-Year Plan and to plan for high-quality development during the 15th Five-Year Plan period. The plenary session featured a clear theme, highlighted key priorities, and laid out a well-defined path, thereby setting firm goals for the county’s high-quality development and providing direction and guidelines for the Hengshan Scenic Area to steadily advance its work in 2026.

The meeting emphasized that all staff members of the scenic area should closely align with the “Five Hearts, Five Places” development strategy and coordinate with the county’s requirements for integrated tourism, providing visitors with services that exceed their expectations. We must continue to strive toward establishing a national-level tourism and holiday resort and building it into a premier tourist destination; as well as work toward creating a nationally recognized historical and cultural city and forging it into a hub of cultural excellence. By transforming tourism “traffic” into “staying power,” we will inject even stronger vitality into the high-quality development of Hunsui’s cultural and tourism industry.

The meeting fully affirmed the work carried out by the Hengshan Mountain Scenic Area Management Center since the beginning of this year. Participants unanimously agreed that thoroughly studying, implementing, and putting into practice the spirit of the plenary session should be regarded as an important task for the present and the future. They emphasized the need to study and grasp the spirit earnestly and take the initiative to assume responsibilities and act accordingly. In conjunction with the 5A-level creation effort for the Hengshan Mountain scenic area, the key focus should be on seven major areas: strengthening the physical infrastructure, improving service quality, cultivating cultural identity, leveraging smart technologies, reinforcing ecological foundations, enhancing management efficiency, and breaking new ground in marketing. By benchmarking against the new national standards set for 2025, we must address our shortcomings and highlight the unique characteristics of Hengshan Mountain. We should propel the Hengshan Mountain scenic area toward becoming a “5A benchmark,” achieving a dual enhancement of both brand value and public recognition for Hengshan Mountain, fostering the integration of culture and tourism and driving industrial upgrading, thereby injecting strong momentum into the development of all-area tourism.
