With the arrival of spring, all things are bursting with vitality. On the morning of April 15, Hunyuan County organized a county-wide voluntary tree-planting campaign to put into practice the philosophy that “lucid waters and lush mountains are invaluable assets,” steadfastly advance the strategy of prioritizing ecological conservation, and thereby Hengshan Mountain Scenic Area Another step has been taken in the effort to create a national 5A-level tourist attraction. The leadership team and some staff of the Hengshan Mountain Scenic Area Management Center have actively participated, working diligently to increase the greenery of Hengshan Mountain’s ecological barrier and empower the 5A-level creation work.

The event site was brimming with spring vitality and enthusiasm. Staff and workers of the Hengshan Mountain Management Center promptly got to work. They divided tasks and collaborated: digging holes, planting seedlings, mounding soil, tamping it down, and watering—every step was carried out meticulously. Each scoop of fresh soil provided nutrients for the seedlings to take root, and each bucket of clear water infused the greenery with vitality. Through their hard work, the seedlings were planted in an orderly fashion, firmly rooted in the fertile soil and standing tall against the wind, bringing vibrant life to the surroundings of the Hengshan Mountain Scenic Area and adding a bold, lush green touch to the picturesque spring landscape of Hunyuan.

This tree-planting activity is a concrete manifestation of Hunyuan County’s commitment to an eco-first development strategy, and a crucial step in advancing the 5A-level designation of the Hengshan Mountain Scenic Area. As the main force in this endeavor, the Hengshan Management Center is taking this event as an opportunity to deeply integrate ecological conservation with the 5A-level designation process, earnestly fulfilling its responsibility to protect the ecosystem, and continuously pushing forward key initiatives such as greening and beautification of the scenic area, ecological restoration of mining sites, and water environment management. Moving forward, the Hengshan Management Center will rigorously enforce seedling maintenance responsibilities, strengthen post-planting care, ensure that every planted tree survives, make Hengshan greener, enhance its ecological beauty, and improve its landscape, thereby laying a solid ecological foundation for achieving the national 5A-level scenic area designation and fully enhancing the prestigious “Hengshan Mountain—The Northern Sacred Mountain” brand.

Plant a patch of green, and safeguard a mountain. Taking this tree-planting initiative as a starting point, the Hengguan Center will continue to pool efforts for ecological conservation, align ecological governance with cultural and tourism development, and inject a steady stream of green momentum into Hunyuan’s high-quality development.
