To effectively fortify the fire safety defense line of the scenic area, enhance the emergency response capabilities of frontline personnel, and fully ensure the safe operation of the scenic area and its efforts to achieve 5A status, on April 14, Hengshan Mountain Scenic Area Hengzong Scenic Area organized all employees, sanitation workers, and security personnel to conduct a spring fire safety drill.

In spring, dry winds and low humidity increase the risk of fires in forests and scenic areas. This drill is closely aligned with seasonal characteristics and the specific conditions of the scenic area, emphasizing real-world, hands-on training. The focus is on five core components: proper use of fire extinguishers, rapid deployment of fire hoses, precise water-jet targeting, efficient suppression of initial fires, and routine emergency preparedness. At the scene, trained professionals provided demonstration instruction, breaking down key operational steps and highlighting important precautions. Subsequently, all participants were divided into groups for practical exercises, with each individual taking turns to practice under supervision. Through repeated drills, they mastered the skills for operating firefighting equipment and the procedures for handling initial fire incidents.

At the drill site, all participants were fully engaged and responded swiftly, with every step—from retrieving equipment and performing standardized procedures to coordinating effectively—carried out in a rigorous, orderly, and compliant manner. By employing a “theory briefing + on-site demonstration + hands-on practice” approach, the exercise effectively strengthened frontline staff’s fire safety awareness, addressed gaps in practical skills, and enhanced their capabilities in rapid response, collaborative operations, and the control and management of initial-stage fire hazards.

This fire drill has further strengthened the fire safety foundation of the Hengzong Scenic Area and tightened the safety protection network of the scenic area. In the next step, the Hengshan Scenic Area will continue to conduct fire training and emergency drills on a regular basis, comprehensively identify fire safety hazards, improve the emergency response mechanism, and provide solid security guarantees for the safe and stable operation of the scenic area and the high-quality advancement of its application for the national 5A-level tourist attraction status.
