On May 2, Zhao Yuqing, Secretary of the County Party Committee, led a team to conduct an in-depth inspection of Hengshan Mountain Scenic Area Conducted on-site inspections of the Tourist Service Center, the Hanging Temple, and the Yuemen Bay Scenic Area to assess workplace safety in the tourism market during the May Day holiday.

Cao Qilong, director of the Hengshan Mountain Scenic Area Management Center, Hu Peng, a member of the Standing Committee of the County Party Committee and deputy county magistrate, Qiao Pu, a member of the Standing Committee of the County Party Committee and director of the County Party Committee Office, as well as heads of relevant departments such as culture and tourism, water resources, traffic police, and power, attended the meeting.

During the field inspection, Zhao Yuqing thoroughly reviewed the operations of the tourist service center, examined measures to address safety hazards on roads leading to the scenic area, assessed traffic management and guidance efforts, and evaluated supporting services within the park. He also listened to a briefing on tourism-related security arrangements and coordinated on-site solutions to outstanding issues. He emphasized that the “May Day” holiday is not only a peak travel period but also a critical time for ensuring public safety. All departments and units must further optimize route planning, strengthen coordination with traffic police and other relevant authorities, and implement timely and well-organized responses to the sharp increase in pedestrian and vehicular traffic during the holiday. It is essential to rigorously carry out inspections and remediation of the newly opened Liuhe Parking Lot and the road sections leading to the scenic area, improve safety signage and protective infrastructure, and intensify patrol and control activities to proactively mitigate road safety risks at their source. Moreover, comprehensive efforts should be made to enhance and refine services in the cultural and tourism market by identifying potential hazards in scenic areas, standardizing business practices, elevating service quality, and introducing more convenient measures, thereby creating a safe, orderly, and comfortable holiday environment for visitors.
